Ailsa has set this week’s Travel Theme to Transportation. As we are transported everywhere in some means or another, this should be fairly straightforward.

Thanks, you’re welcome, you too lol
I love transportation 4.
It was in the Science Museum in London
Great choices Alastair. 🙂
Thanks LuAnn 🙂
Very cool, Alastair!
Thank you Amy 🙂
Very nice pictures. Is that a typical tube station? It reminds almost exactly of the ones in Madrid. Still, it looks very narrow to me, compared with ones here.
Yes it is. They can get a little scary in rush hour
Yeah, I’ll bet. London is a pretty big city for such narrow platforms. 🙂
It is. I took my son there to the museums for his 16th birthday. He has Asperger’s Syndrome so has to be watched, especially somewhere like that. When I went up north with him a few years ago, we went through the tubes in rush hour and had him hold my shoulder bag
Seoul has put in glass barriers in all their subways in the last couple years to avoid suicides and accidents. The barrier doors are synchronized with the subway doors. It’s quite a good system. Here’s a picture where you can see them (http://blog.hankyung.com/files/attach/images/815686/810/296/%EC%84%9C%EC%9A%B8%20%EC%A7%80%ED%95%98%EC%B2%A0%20%ED%92%8D%EA%B2%BD.jpg)
I like that idea. I think there may be a couple of stations like that if I remember right. Or it may have been on TV that I saw it. Good idea though
number 3 and 8 are my favorites.. nice A!
