After Ute and I left the Houses of Parliament, we headed down towards Trafalgar Square. On the way, we were caught up in a Gay Pride March. I know some of you won’t agree with that as you don’t agree with that, but there are so many that do. The amount of people there was amazing.
It was difficult making it to the square, but it was amazing when we did. Horatio Nelson atop his column is still an amazing sight and always will be. Looking towards France with his one eye and one arm. The lions standing guard. In the shadow of Nelson’s Column is was the tent for the After March Party. The majority of London was closed off due to the streets being full.
We headed to Leicester Square where we stopped for dinner. After there, we walked to Buckingham Palace. That will never cease to amaze me. Especially with the Victoria Memorial outside. The gardens were beautifully tended, and the Irish Guards (identified by their white and green plume and two sets of five buttons) standing guard. Occasionally moving so as not to cramp up.
