One of the things I photograph regularly is the local rowing club. I either stand on my balcony and take the photos, or go onto the beach. It amazes me the strength they have in their legs and their arms to do this regularly.

Still Trying to Figure Things Out
Brrrrrrrrrrrr that makes me cold just looking at the pictures! I have to say that I admire them for their perseverance and dedication though! 🙂
I do. It’s incredible. They will be out at 9am on a Sunday morning. By which time the swimmers will have already been in the sea for a couple of hours.
NOT, however, gently down the stream.
Indeed not
These are a great set of photographs Al
Andro
Thanks Andro 🙂
You’re welcome Al
They are usually very dedicated .. I think they probably have to be out in all weathers . Nice captures Alastair . You see so much from that balcony of yours 😉
Thanks Poppy. Yes, they are out in the dark as well sometimes. It’s amazing what I can see from my balcony. A couple of weeks ago, the road was shut at 2:30am, there were three police vehicles and they were pulling something out of the water. I didn’t see what it was, and there was nothing on the news.
Ooops, looks as though the boat in #7 is sinking. I can’t believe how fast they can go!
Haha yes it does. I took a photo earlier in the year when they were rowing in high winds and it looked like there was no scull at all
Great captures. It really is hard work rowing. 😀
It takes much physical and mental the strength for this sport! Great captures, Al!
It does. I have spent time with them, and they are insane lol
That is a crazy sport.
It is.
Uh huh
Is this seen often? Where are they going or doing?
They are out on Sunday mornings, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, sometimes Fridays and occasionally Mondays. They are just training. They go back and forth. Although a couple of members of the club did do a cross channel row recently.
interesting
I admire them always. Beautiful photographs dear Al, Thanks and Love, nia
Thanks Nia
