Last night marked the end of the season for the cruise ships in and out of Dover, so they ended the night with a firework display. Although i was out of focus with the first photo, I think the “bokeh” effect came out quite well. Also, the heart shaped firework looked awesome. I am glad I managed to capture at least some of it.
I keep doing Cee’s challenges willy-nilly when I get the chance. My time is taken up offline a lot of the time at the moment, but I wanted to post something today, and Cee’s challenge was the perfect opportunity for me to show off some of the beautiful landscapes in Cumbria, as well as a few of the sea here in Kent – and a tree.
Thank you Cee for hosting this challenge every week. There are so many great photographers that share with Cee (who is also a great photographer herself). Go have a look at some of the links that people have shared.
There is just four more days to vote for the photo you want as the Photo of the Month for September which will go into the 2015 Calendar and will also go into the Photo of the Year which someone will win a print of. Anyone who votes in the Photo of the Year stands a chance of winning.
If you haven’t already voted, you have until 8am (UK time) on October 8th 2014. As a reminder, here are the photos.
Choose your image, then vote on the voting machine above.
Every Saturday, an Owl rescue Sanctuary takes some of their predators into the town centre to try to get donations whilst showing how beautiful they look. They are very happy with people taking photos and stroking the owls. They really are magnificent. I was going to see what it looked like black and white, but it didn’t stand out enough.
