Follow Friday: Momus News

This week, I have chosen Momus News. The reason for this one, is that you can guarantee that with his his stories, you will have a giggle. He has a fantastic sense of humour that would appeal to so many people. Taking part in Friday Fictioneers; Yeah, Write Speakeasy; Sunday Photo Fiction and the Trifectra fiction challanges, he always has something to share with everyone.

He also posts some wonderful photography from his life or photos that he has taken and used in the Weekly Photo Challenges.

According to Momus, he views the world from a different angle, a humorous angle. Which is why he chose the name for his blog – Momus being the Greek God of Satire.

If you are not already following him, you may find your day brightened as his stories drop into your lap to read.

Follow Friday: AnElephantCant

It was very difficult for me to choose which was going to be my Follow Friday this week. There are so many good blogs that I read and want to share. I decided to choose the blog of a blogger that I have met.

Follow_Friday

AnElephant’s blog is made up almost entirely of limericks and fiction. The limericks are very often funny, and the fiction comes from the Ligo Haibun Challenge, the Friday Fictioneers Challenge and the Sunday Photo Fiction Challenge.

Being AnElephant, you would think that pachyderms could not hold a pen or type on a keyboard, but this elephant is extra special. His wit is almost endless, and this shines through on everything. Even when he writes something serious, there are amusing undertones and overtones to it.

Following this blog will make you smile. I know it does me. Just don’t show him the meeces. As AnElephant, he dislikes them to pieces.

He describes his blog as: “Occasionally funny, sometimes serious, mostly pointless.

This blog belongs to a young woman with a wonderful name. I suppose a “heavenly” name as it is Celestine.

The posts that Celestine introduces us to, are usually poetry in different forms. She will find something new and try it, and it comes out really well. She is also a Master of Haiku, she can make one out of anything. A Haiku is a form of poetry with just three lines with a set amount of syllables.

this is a haiku
two lines have five syllables
middle has seven

Books are a love for Celestine, and she will sometimes write a review for the books that she reads. Other things that Celestine takes part in, Carpe Diem which means (roughly) “Seize the day”.

As a final note, Celestine also writes serialisation in several newspapers in her country, and a radio serial drama. Celestine is a great all-rounder with a great heart.

Follow Friday: Sharing Me Myself and I

Today’s Follow Friday is one of the most wonderful, friendliest and respectful people I know of. Rosy would not say a bad thing about anyone, and would go out of her way to help anyone.

Rosy lost her brother just over eleven years ago, and has written some beautiful poetry about him. One such piece is here.

Rosy has been described as having an old soul, which probably explains why she is such a nice and helpful person.

She also has a dog that she dotes over called Fenway. If you only follow one persons blog, I would suggest it to be Rosy, one of the nicest people on WordPress.

You can find Rosy on WordPress and Twitter
