Playing With Photoshop

I decided today to have a bit of a play with Photoshop. I brought a magazine a couple of weeks with tutorials on how to play with pictures. Although it suggested using their pictures, I preferred playing with my own ones.

Here is the original … this was Photo Of the Day … 21st February this year.

Tabitha before any adjustments.

Then I used a hand image from the free disk that came from the magazine, added it it to the photo and removed some of the colour to make it look like it was being painted.

Brush and hand added and some colour removed

Finally, I used another tutorial to add a rainbow colour to her eyes.

A Photo A Day … May 25 2012

Okay, so I brought a couple of photography books the other day and decided to have a read through them. One of them gave a project that was to recreate a “goblet of fire”. It required a camera capable of setting slow speeds, a flash gun, a goblet of water, white background and some food dye. You then take a photo of the food dye being poured into the glass, use a program to invert the colours and should give you the image.

I don’t have a flash gun, so I made do with a lamp, and I took the photo in the day time with the reflection of the sun coming in behind me. It’s not brilliant, but for a first attempt, I am more than happy with this creation.
