A Day Out … Part One

Last Saturday (June 29th) I went to London (UK) and met with another blogger. The lovely Ute Lark. Such a wonderful soul, she showed me around some of the sights there. Here are a few of the photos.

These photos are the view from the cable car, alighting off the far side, and then on the way back. You can see the “Helter Skelter” from the Olympic Park, and I had to take a couple of pigeons. I like the one with the wings out full. Also, the skateboarder mid trick was a good shot, I think.

There is the O2 Arena, which can be climbed up, but not without safety equipment. There is a needle just outside the Arena, which I took a photo of, looking straight up. It was dizzying.

We then took a couple of tubes to Westminster where we came out to face Elizabeth Tower which houses the bell Big Ben. As you can see, we were in this area for just over a half hour. I could not resist a seagull shot, just for Duncan. There is also the magnificent Boudicca (also known as Boadicea) with her horses.
