I Am Stepping Outside, I May Be Some Time

My time at the moment is extremely limited. I am only just having time to write blog posts, I am not even having time to take photos. Normally I take over 1000 photos a month. Since about October, those have been dropping. In December I managed to take a little under 400 photos, and at over half way through January, I haven’t managed to reach 100. There are only so many photos of seagulls, the sea and the moon I can post.

So I am taking a break from blogging for a while. I am not sure how long for. It may be a week, it may be a month, it may be longer. I need time for my offline activities. As several of you know, I have been writing what I hope to be a novel, and that has been neglected for a while. Iย am hoping to have the time to get back to that.

I will miss you all. I will see you when I get back. Thank you to the 2,242 people (and bots) that read my blog – or at least clicked the “Follow” button. I appreciate your support.

  1. Quack, quack
    When will you be back?

Actually – I haven’t been much on here either.
Hope all is well with you & your kiddos.

  2. I will always be here for you my buddy. You get that novel written and fulfil all of your offline dreams and all of us will be waiting to hear about your success online.

  3. Hey Al. I’ve been missing you and now I see why. I hope all is well with you and hopefully your batteries are recharging nicely. If you need time to work on your book, then count on me for 100% support. Go boy, go! Take all the time you need. We’ll leave the light on for you.

  4. Sorry darlin…. I have been neglecting my blogs as well and I missed this one. It was still in my Inbox and when I didn’t see any new posts from you I went back to see what was going on.
I certainly understand taking a break. I still consider myself on mine. Even though I read a few and comment from time to time. I’m not giving it near the attention I was. I started back to school for Spring semester yesterday and I have my first Photography class on Monday! YAH! I hope you are well my dear…….ttyl! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  5. Al, I will miss you. But all is good and well. I might go off soon myself to finish off my novel. I had to come back after the brief leave because I missed blogging but the writing is equally important. So, I understand. Take care, bro. ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. As someone who recently took a one-month sabbatical, I completely understand. A daily blog is an insatiable beast when it comes to cornering time for other pursuits. You might post a brief update once in a while just to let us know the progress youโ€™re making in your other pursuits. Until you feel ready again to post regularly, Iโ€™ll miss your posts, but Al be waiting for when you come back! Go GET โ€˜em, buddy!

  7. I so completely understand and hope you can get to grips with your other writing and the other things in your life. You are so conscientious about replying to com mentors and I am in awe!
All the very best to you. As others have said, when you are ready, we will be happy to see you back but have a proper break. ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. ((((Hugs)))) to you Al – if they are allowed ๐Ÿ™‚

Please take all the time you need – we will be waiting and I know I’ll definitely be keeping you in my thoughts. When a break is needed – it is better to stop and take care of “you” – then burn out. So, please be gentle and kind with yourself – enjoy your time, work hard – but not too hard – and remember to be silly from time to time. And – of course, thank you – for all of your efforts, time, attention and love that you have shared here and on Sunday Photo Fiction.

I’ll miss you – but I so get this – speaking as one who has been AWOL for quite some time. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    • Thank you Pat, I appreciate that. I have a couple of posts scheduled for the next two weeks, and Joe has expressed a wish to take over if I need him to whilst I am away.

      Thank you again Pat

  9. You will be missed, but I definitely know where you are coming from. I’m cutting back a bit, at least right now.

Stay in touch if you need anything.
