Where You Are Now Is Not Necessarily Where You Will End up

Being in a dark place now, will not leave you in a dark place for an eternity even if it seems like it at the time. There is always light, although sometimes you have to strain your eyes to see it. Sometimes a friend may be required to point out where the light is, sometimes the friend is the light. Don’t give up. You will get through this. Have faith in yourself. You have made it through 100% of your bad days so far. That’s a good track record.

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Green

It has been ages since I have done Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge, but when I saw it was “Green“, I knew I had to do it. Especially to show off my very first macro shot I did The bug on the leaf. It was so tiny. I took about 250 photos of that little critter.

Monday’s Finish The Story: X Marks The Spot

A new literary challenge has started recently. Barbs has given us a photo as a prompt and an opening line. We just have to carry it on from there. If you want to have a go, then go and finish the story.

“Do you remember that old saying, X marks the spot?” Daveth asked Jorge.

“Oh back when there were land pirates and the sea was able to be sailed on.”

“That’s it. Do you ever imagine yourself in that age, as a pirate on a ship with a wooden leg and an eye patch, sailing the seas and uncovering vast treasures?”

“Are you mad?” Jorge asked his friend. “We sail the skies. We sail from planet to planet now. Look at us, we are back in the skies of Earth, and you can see the pollution, you can see the smog of the lands. What’s not to love?”

“But right now, wouldn’t you want to be somewhere else?”

Exasperated, Jorge let go of the wheel and turned to his friend. “Why? Why right now?”

“Because there is a bloody great X above us, with a giant spade heading towards it!”

When You’re Down A Hole …

I saw this on a friend’s Facebook page and felt I just had to share it. I thought it was really cool. I just had to share. My friend also has a blog which is here.

So there’s this guy walking down the street and he falls into a great big hole. A doctor walks by and the guy yells up to the doctor ‘hey, I fell in this hole, can you help me out?’ The doctor writes a prescription, throws it into the hole, and walks on.

A priest then walks by and the guy yells up to the priest ‘father, can you help me? I fell into this hole and I can’t get out’. The priest says a prayer, throws down a Bible and walks on.

And then a friend of the guy walks by and the guy yells up ‘hey, buddy, I’m stuck in this hole and -‘ and before he can finish the friend jumps down into the hole.

‘What the hell are you doing?’ the guy says, ‘Now we’re both down here!’

‘Yup’, says the friend, ‘But I’ve been down here before and I know the way out.’

If you are down in a hole, the chances are, a friend will be there to help you find the way out.
