Smile … You Don’t Own All The Problems In The World

Have you ever noticed that you think of your biggest problems when you go to bed? You lay there in the dark thinking “I should have done this today” or “Maybe if I did that differently” or “Maybe I should have spoken to them”. This causes us to have a bad night’s sleep and we wake up in the mornings with that problem magnified.

Try this …

When you go to bed, imagine yourself in a field, barefoot, with the sun streaming down. The warmth on your face. You walk through the field with the grass gently brushing against your feet, relaxing you. You come to a gate, and walk through it, up a short driveway to a house with the door open. Go into the house and you see pictures on the wall. These pictures depict different scenes. You can enter one of these to go where you want to with no problems in the world.

I hope you have a good day and a good week. Remember, a problem is not forever. Oh, I saw this today as well:

You know what is really, powerfully sexy? A sense of humour. A taste for adventure. A healthy glow. Hips to grab on to. Openness. Confidence. Humility. Appetite. Intuition. … Smart-ass comebacks. Presence. A quick wit. Dirty jokes told by an innocent looking lady. A woman who realises how beautiful she is.

  1. Love relaxation techniques…they come in handy! I try to avoid watching anything on TV or reading anything violent before bedtime too. That can totally ruin a night for me 😦
Oh…and I fit almost all of the description by Courtney E. Martin (great name btw) except for “innocent looking”!! HA HA! Yeah…NOPE! Nuthin innocent about me! I got that “look” downpat! You know the one that says “What the hell are you up to?” he he he…..
    🙂

    • HAHA Love it 🙂 As I was typing the name, I thought of you 🙂

I have to read before I go to sleep. It calms me down. Then, if I remember, I will go to the house and pick a picture.

  2. Sleep, I hear it is elusive. Good words and ideas for sleeping, all it takes is one bad thought and the night’s ruined. We should all just chill more.

  3. Hey… what’s with all the positive, uplifting, upbeat messages? If I wanted someone to blow sunshine up may ass I would hire a fairy… seriously… that was nice… I needed that… even though I have a sense of humor and adventure and all that other stuff… I even have hips, but my butt is disappearing… any advice for that?
