Whatever You Are, Be A Good One ~ Abraham Lincoln

After watching an episode or three of Criminal Minds yesterday, I thought I would look to see the quotes that are used at the beginning and end of the episodes. Some of them are very poignant. Some are created for the characters. All have a huge meaning. like –

“I believe humanity was born from conflict. Maybe that’s why in all of us lives a dark side. Some of us embrace it. Some have no choice. The rest of us fight it. And in the end, it’s as natural as the air we breathe. Some point, we’re forced to face the truth…ourselves.” ~ Penelope Garcia

A while ago I posted a piece of inspiration from a Cherokee grandfather.

An old Cherokee told his grandson: “My son, there is a battle between two wolves inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, jealousy, greed, resentment, inferiority, lies and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy and truth.”
The boy thought about it, and asked: “Grandfather, which wolf wins?”
The old man quietly replied: “The one you feed.”

Remember which one you feed. Also remember that you may be suffering right now, you may be in a dark place. It will brighten. Think of a torch coming to guide you. It may be a bit of a walk, a bit of a journey, but you will get there. You will get through.

  2. I have always loved that Cherokee story. Ok, I know I say I always love your quotes, and I do, but today, since they speak of transcending our struggles, they are especially poignant. If I have not said this lately, I am grateful for you! 🙂

  3. Nice sayings, strategically coupled with nice images. It would be nice to print some of them to in a wall where we constantly see them. Thanks for sharing.
Like they say in Twitter, #Happy2014 😎

  4. Woohoo for us cherokee 🙂
Great quotes dear Al and I’m going to be the best enchanting queen ruler of the world.
