I decided to take a photo of the trees on the top of the cliffs today. I did try to take one of the tree growing out of the cliff, but it didn’t come out too well. There was too much colour so it was swamped into the background

The Christmas Fairies
The tree sat in the corner where it sat every year. The baubles placed exactly perfect, and the tinsel draped into the places to make it look professional.
Oswald grinned at the job he had made of the tree. Proud that he placed everything without his mum asking him to. He found it odd that every time he placed a bauble or piece of tinsel, when he looked back, he found it somewhere else. Although at the age of five, he thought it very magical.
As Oswald looked up at the top of the tree whilst holding the Star Tree Topper, he noticed a bauble move as if blowing in the wind. He laid the topper between the branches and looked at the bauble. There seemed to be something inside it. He went to grab the topper and found it gone. Looking up, it sat perfectly at the top. Oswald grinned. His mum told him the Christmas fairies did not exist. Now he knew they did.
The bauble moved again, and this time he touched it.
…
Six weeks later, the news still covered the mystery disappearance of Oswald Hill, child number seven of twenty-five to vanish in December.
Get Up, Dress Up, Show Up & Never Give Up ~ Genevieve Rhode
In life, there are some things we might never really get over. Sometimes the best we can do is just get through. But that’s okay. There’s still a lot of beauty to find on the other side.
Beauty is everywhere you look. If you look out of your window, you will see land; you will see sky; you will see clouds; you will see people. These are all beautiful. When you look in the mirror, you will see beauty. You may not think so, but deep down, you know the beauty is there, looking at you thinking “I am beautiful.”
The Chain Writing Game – Episode 2
Kerrie Salsac has created a novel writing challenge. Head over to her place to take a look.
On reaching the bottom of the staircase, she watched as the front door slammed shut as her so-called friend Jemima hurried to escape her presence.
Cindy brushed herself down to remove any creases from her clothing and reached for the car keys. Her butterflies launched themselves into freefall at the thought of how this appeared to be heading. She noticed her hand shaking slightly, and made a fist to try to stop it. She smiled and took a deep breath, exhaling through her mouth.
She grabbed the keys this time and strolled out the door with her head held high.
