Kerrie Salsac has created a novel writing challenge. Head over to her place to take a look.
On reaching the bottom of the staircase, she watched as the front door slammed shut as her so-called friend Jemima hurried to escape her presence.
Cindy brushed herself down to remove any creases from her clothing and reached for the car keys. Her butterflies launched themselves into freefall at the thought of how this appeared to be heading. She noticed her hand shaking slightly, and made a fist to try to stop it. She smiled and took a deep breath, exhaling through her mouth.
She grabbed the keys this time and strolled out the door with her head held high.

Ooh, this could be fun. I like how you’ve already added conflict to the growing story.
I love it π
Interesting concept! I see many have already written more parts in the story
They have. It’s cool
I love these games. My idea of who was at the bottom of the stairs was so different to yours, but now I have to know who this Jemima character is!
Exciting π
Thanks for diving in to this game with me!
You’re welcome. I loved doing it and where it has gone to now. The car that doesn’t work, the person from the diner π
ooo…I hate that b**ch Jemima already.
π I wonder if she will make her presence known again in someone else’s version of it π
Thrilling experience, well written and nice take:)
Thanks Vishal. It was great writing it.
Whew! I say as I wipe the sweat off my brow. You have to be quick with this challenge because you are writing someone else may take the spot you’re writing for. This will be fun.
That’s what I thought which was why I didn’t care about grammatical errors on this one, I just wanted to get it done quick lol
You can edit the grammar after you upload it I suppose π
I’m wondering where the InLinkz button is? π
Yours didn’t work so I couldn’t use it.
What didn’t work? The blue frog button? I’ve been clicking on it to check for entries :S
The blue frog did. But the one to get the code didn’t
Oh … I just had an idea how to get it.
No don’t worry, I went back and clicked on my HERE link and it asked me to log in… WHOOPS!
I have got the proper HTML in place now so it should work π
Thanks for letting me know!
That’s okay. I went in HTML and stole it that way π it works. hehe
Aren’t you clever!! Would never have thought of that π
π
On your marks, get set, GO GO GO!!! π
