I was going to try for something like “A bird on land is worth three at a push” but decided against it.
These photos are ones that I took a few days ago when I went to Kearsney Abbey with my sister. I did take photos of the swan coming in to land, but the focus was wrong and it just looked like a white smear. Of course, I also had to include a seagull. It wouldn’t be me if I didn’t.
Awesome! 🙂
Thank you
Lots of great pics here!
Thank you. Glad you liked them
photo 5 looks cute
He is. It’s the same bird from 27th September. So cute
Super pics, Alastair. Of course you had to include a seagull. 😀
Thanks Sylvia. I couldn’t photograph birds without including one hehe
Amazing photos Al! 🙂
Thank you 🙂
Wonderful collection, Al, and I especially love the close up with the orange beak! 🙂
Thanks. The goose wondering if I had any food 🙂
Of course! 🙂
There was a little kid beside me who was feeding the geese. I would have loved to have taken a photo, but as it was grand parents and not parents, I didn’t even bother asking for permission to photograph her doing it. They were eating out of her hands. It was fantastic
Your selection here is brilliant Al
and thank you for sharing them 🙂
Andro

I like your birds better than my birds!!!
Only because the majority of them weren’t moving so it was easier to photograph them. Your birdees are great though Terry
Swans… so good… great to get close!
Thank you AJ. I love being there as there are so many birds around and they will take the food out of your hands. It is one of the most gorgeous places here.
[ Smiles ] A nice collection of bird photographs!
Thanks Renard.

Thanks Stefania. No, I’m not a professional photographer. Have a great Sunday
Lovely shots! I love water foul..we’ve got some fine ducks and swans here as well as gulls and coots, but outside of the ducks and sometimes the swans, my camera just isn’t up to getting a really good shot of them. Thanks for the share!
super shots. I like the quizzical goose close-up, and the contortionist swan near the end…
Thanks Karen. Glad you enjoyed them. There are so many that I wanted to post, but didn’t want to flood them. Having trouble enough getting visitors to my blog at the moment, so want to keep the few remaining that I do have
