I love macro shots with my camera. There were so many things that I photographed today. I even took photos of the little coot again. This macro of a flower I took whilst in a café today though. This is my favourite. My daughter’s as well, she chose it. I had to adjust the lighting in photoshop though as it was too bright.

They’re actually Moorhens. Coots have white heads Moorhens have red. I should have corrected that

My brother has been taking some pictures of a lot of flowers recently, and the real brightly coloured ones seem to overwhelm the camera, they appear to blur sometimes too! I don’t do a great deal of photography now, but when I was younger I had an SLR camera, and if that had done that to me every time I took a bright flower, I would have been swearing I think! 🙂
It looks lovely though, is it a Carnation, or something similar?

I have to be honest with you. I am so jealous. I have never had the funds to purchase a really nice camera, one that will take close ups like yours beautifully. I finally was able to purchase a camera that I absolutely loved and I gave it to my family member to take a photo of Al and me, and she dropped it. It works but the lens is messed up a little. I always wanted a camera where I could place the extension on it for far a way or very close cameras. I always love your photos. I paid almost 250 for my camera and it always makes me sick it was not replaced or repaired
Someone dropped my video camera and didn’t tell me. I went to use it a few days later and the screen was broken. It wasn’t until nearly a year later that I found out that I could get a new screen for it. I love that camera, It’s the one I did the panorama with.
It’s bloody awful when someone won’t take responsibility for what they have done
