The new week may have started, but nothing is ever truly bad. Nothing bad can last forever. If you are feeling down, search your memories for something good that happened and grab a hold of that. Maybe your wedding (or divorce); maybe the birth of your son (or daughter); your first kiss with a loved one; the day you passed a test. Grab a hold of that, and smile. Share a smile with someone. When they smile back, it makes it worth it. And always remember … YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
This first one, I spotted from Otrazhenie‘s blog and was told I could use it. So thanks Otrazhenie.

A most wonderful way to start the week, even if I am a day behind. 🙂
Thanks LuAnn. Hope the week will be good for you
And to you 🙂
You know I always love these! 🙂 Especially the last one…hugs, Alastair and thanks for the inspiration. Hugs Paula xx
Glad they help 🙂
Within each day is a reason to smile! ❤
Yes there is 🙂
Greetings Alastair! I found your blog by way of my dear friend Skye (thesanctuaryofmyheart). This is the very first post I came to and I love it–the words are just what I needed to hear today! I am now following your blog and I look forward to reading more and especially seeing your photography that I have heard so much about.
🙂 Thank you Elaine
wise and wonderful sentiments to make a crappy Monday slightly better. Having said that getting up at half two does put a dent in the badness of the day, ha!
Ouch! Half two? The only time I get up at that time, I go back to bed again.
Hope everything is okay with you
I was up at five with Christina and ‘resting my eyes for five minutes’ appealed after. I should have known it would all wrong.
Everything is grand with me, I hope you also excellent this….day on Mon
I have enough trouble waking up 6:08 let alone 5
The challenge is to get up before you wake up methinks.
That could well be it. Wonder how you managed to find yourself in the kitchen
You are absolutely right! I am going to put this request on the top of my list
Excellent 🙂
I like the e card…:)
And you are 🙂
Wonderful, as always 🙂
Thanks Celestine
Nicely written Alastair and a beautiful selection of quotes to start the week off. Have a good one, my friend! 🙂 xx

Thank you Nia. I hope you have great week.

It’s so true , Alastair and I hope it helps me since Im going through a lean phase.
I’m sorry to hear that Vishal. I hope things pick up for you soon.
hopefully, my dear friend. But, I am hopeful and with well-wishers like you, I am sure thgs will change:)
Good. I’ll keep you in my thoughts

Namasté, Summer
Thank you Summer. I truly appreciate that
You’re welcome. Thanks to you to! Have a peaceful day : )
Thanks, Alastair. I loved number five. It is so true.
You are in my thoughts and prayers to feel better and for a good week for you.
Thank you Skye, I appreciate it.
I have been toying with number five for a couple of weeks, and decided to put it in today
Well, it was one I needed to see. Somehow, again, you knew that.
Oh….because of you, I opened an “extremely amateur” photo blog. You have made me look at life and nature and even my teaspoon differently. It is all rather incredible. So, I thought it might be fun to try. Nothing as incredible as yours, of course. In fact, there is nothing up yet……but, I am planning to give credit to its beginnings to you and your genius. Big hugs!!
Thank you. I’m glad I inspired you to do it. I look forward to seeing what you can do.
I’m not as good as some people. I would love to be able to do what some of them do. You’ll have to let me know your new blog location
http://ohthethingsweshallsee.wordpress.com/
There is nothing there yet, but I did add a couple to my Photos section that you may have not seen yet on my regular blog. I am not sure how to link the two blogs up properly so people can just link there. I hate being computer challenged. Hope you enjoy them if you peek.
Thanks. I have added it to the Blogs I Read list 🙂
I have four blogs on WordPress and as far as I know, the only way to link them is to tell people where they are
That’s what I figured, too. Thanks, Alastair!! You are my first follower….somehow, very fitting. lol
Not sure where it will go, but we shall see. 🙂
😆 When you post, I’ll reblog for you. Apparently I have “clout” on WordPress. Which still shocks me as March last year, I was going to close it down as no one was reading it.
When I read that, I chuckled. I could not believe you actually almost shut down. That would have been a terrible shame….aside from the fact that I would not have met you…..God, likes me to much to have allowed that to happen!! 😀
Haha. Either that or he has a sense of humour and doesn’t like you so introduced us 😆
Or that……..it’s already lightening here…..did not want to say that out loud! 😀
Haha Yep. Definitely that then. “I’m going let him loose – see who he can irritate” lol
Goofy!!!! You need to try harder. Not irritated yet!! 😀
You’d be surprised at how easily I can irritate people.
**waits patiently–tapping fingers on table–whistling** This should be fun!!
😆
Love ur post , sharing it on tumblr
Thank you SV
Thanks for the uplifting messages, Alastair. In this life there are “Givers,” “Takers,” and “Those who Try Not to Bother or Be Bothered” (the latter usually end up in the “Takers” column). You, my friend, are one of the true “Givers.” You bless the rest of us with your “finds.”
😳 Thank you John. I just try to make people realise that they are not alone. There are people out there who can and will help
WordPress’s e-mail notice of your above comment translated your blushing smiley into the word “Ooops!” Took me a while to figure out where a word came from that was not in your actual comment!
Unfortunately the blushing icon can only be used with the oops line.
Thank you so much for this Alastair, I hope you feel better today!
Much love. 🙂
Thanks Seyi. Pain is still there. Unfortunately.
Last night, I had the choice … go to sleep or finish your book, I ended up choosing to go to sleep, so I will be finishing it today 😀
I’m so glad you did! The book is always there and I won’t be happy if you’re reading in pain! Do take care of yourself dear.
🙂
I will 🙂 Thank you
That’s good to know! 🙂 🙂
Thanks Alastair.
Hope it helps today Lyn
