Tieore at My Life With Autistic Kids has emailed me her story for the Photo Fiction. Her laptop is dying so her phone is the only thing she can use at the moment. It’s her first story so be gentle with her š
It is with a heavy heart and heavier hand that he signs his name on the piece of paper that was to bring an end to the life he knew.“Only a fool would believe it’d never catch up with them, I’ve been expecting this for some time now.” In solitude, save for his faithful servant, he knew no-one was really listening but some of the best conversations are with ones self.He heated the wax and applied his seal with great care, knowing as he did that it would not be appreciated. He called for his faithful servant and handed him the letter. “In this envelope is my life. Everything I’ve built up and earned is in here. Please take great care of it until it arrives at its destination.”He rose from his chair and walked slowly to the window. He gazed out wistfully wishing he could soar above the clouds. “I’ve done what I need to. Its your turn now.”He opened the window and looked at his friend. Ā “It’s time.”With a gentle nudge, his faithful servant spread his wings and with a quick glance back at his master he soared off into the sky.The man sank into his chair, his hands supporting his head as though his neck could no longer do it. Completely crestfallen at what he’d had to do.Damned taxman.
A good story.
It is. It’s the first one she’s done
I know, impressive.
