Do parties and crowds fill you with energy, or send you scurrying for peace and quiet?
This depends on the party I am at and who I am with. If I am with friends, I will stay with them. I’ll latch on and follow them like a lamb, and head off to a corner if they leave me.
If I am on my own, I will head to a corner and hide there hoping that no one will see me. I will look for the earliest opportunity to leave.
Agreed!
🙂
I love outdoor parties.
I don’t like any parties. Except maybe the ones in my dreams where I don’t have to actually go anywhere 😉
If there is anyway to avoid even an invite to a party I will, I despise them, but I was for 27 years a bartender whenever money was short or putting myself through college so I have seen the absolute worst of people in the ‘party’ atmosphere and all I can say is ‘no thank you’
I worked in a café for a time and occasionally worked in a nightclub or pulling pints at music gigs. I worked at an amusement park for a while. Even at those times I wouldn’t talk to people if I could help it
so that is why we are bloggers…we are shy introverted people 🙂 LOL
Yep. I am happy talking to people on here, but in person is more difficult
exactly although I tend to ‘tell more’ than I should on here 🙂
I do. Which is why I am not doing the “about me” bits on awards. I’ll still answer the “Share Your World” from Cee though
🙂
My partying days are over. Don’t like the crowds or loud noises anymore. Give me peace and tranquility beside a lake in the early Spring or Fall.
That would be nice. Sitting in a deckchair outside a log cabin and reading a book. (Until one of the kids does a cannonball into it 😆 )
I can totally relate Alastair. 🙂
🙂 I wasn’t going to do this prompt as I said I wasn’t going to say any more about myself, feeling I have given more away than I should anyway. It is interesting to see how other bloggers deal with parties
Leave it to me to be the opposite, I love being right in the middle of the party. In my line of work, you have to work a room and network. I am always glad though to be home to peace and quiet.
That’s where I’d prefer to be from the start 😉
I’d try to remain unnoticed till I go home..rather similar to you:)
Yeah I really dislike parties
Totally depends on the party & who else will be there. Sometimes I prefer to go for a few minutes just to make an appearance & then try to quick leave. If it’s my crowd – my peeps – I’m there till the end sweeping the floors & turning the lights off with them! 😉
🙂
you sound exactly like me
🙂
I do really well one on one but groups disturb me. This Thursday evening I have a function that I’ attending alone. Although I am not scared I do wonder if I too will sneak off into a corner once the speaker starts. The odd thing is I am capible of speaking to groups now where as at one time if the earth swallowed me I would be in heaven. OK enough. Perhaps I should have writen a post of my own! See you at the party 🙂
😆 You’ll do well 🙂
Thanks. Votes of confidence are truely welcome. I had a discussion about confidence vs. Esteem. It is not neccesarily true they go hand in hand. I feel you know this.
Yes that is true. You can have a high self esteem but in front of crowds you could quiver. In 1990, I was a bingo caller. I loved being centre stage. But get me outside and I was so low it was unbelievable.
So true! I spend a lot of time at parties wondering if anyone would notice if I snuck away and fell asleep.
I can’t remember the last party I went to. I think it may have been my parents 40th wedding. It’s their 50th next year. I don’t tend to be invited any more. Which is fine by me 🙂
I’m an INFJ, only feeling as opposed to your thinking 🙂
