I decided to try something new with my photographing of the moon tonight, and I am really impressed with it.

Still Trying to Figure Things Out
WOW! Took some shots of a beautiful golden full moon but they all blurred! Phooey! BUT, yours is GREAT!
Thank you Sharla 🙂
That’s beautiful. My goal is to one day have a camera good enough to take a decent picture of the moon.
My one’s not one of the best, it’s playing with the shutter speed and f-stop

Lovely photo, Alistair. You’ve captured that brilliantly. Well done.
Thanks Lizzie 🙂
Very beautiful image. Excellent capture of the full moon!
Thank you for sharing!
Have a wonderful Sunday, Alastair! 🙂
Thank you Stefania. Hope your weekend has been a good one
Nice one! Hugs Paula x
Thank you 🙂 Hope you’ve had a good weekend
Wow, great job! And it was exactly a full moon tonight too 🙂
Thanks Richard.
great picture. So solemn! Is it wolf moon tomorrow night over there, too? You should see our moon! Maybe I will go snap a pic…:)
Yes, that’s one of the names given to the full moon in January. I am so happy with this shot
well, you should be. I went outside last night after commenting, and took mannnny shots–all resulting in a glowing circle, no detail. So I am especially admiring of the crater detail you captured. aaAAOOOoooo!
Thank you Karen. I must admit, I never expected it turn out like it did, or the response I got for it
Wow! Looks amazing! What did you do differently?
I used a faster shutter speed. Rather than use auto, I used a 1/800 speed.
Ahhhh la lune brille! Beautiful shot!
Thanks Roxi
A fabulous shot!
Thanks Rosy, I am so proud of this one
I got a shot of the moon last night – but it didn’t come out nearly as well as this one 😉
Thanks 🙂
Lovely shot, Alastair. Well done. 🙂
Thanks Sylvia
Great shot, you should be really proud of this.
Thank you
Have not had any luck with moon shots … this is wonderful Alastair ~ !!!
Thank you Robyn. 🙂
Good shot, I tried but si far no success. What are the keys of your success: do you know the EXIF of your photo?
Normally mine come out bright. This time though, I still had my zoom on maximum – 200, but my other settings were:
F-Stop: 5.6
Exposure: 1/800s
ISO: 100
Thank you
You’re welcome 🙂
U agree with the commenter above! You should be impressed.
Thank you 🙂
You should be impressed!! What a great shot.
Thank you:-) I decided to play with F settings and shutter speed to get a better shot of it. A couple of times I went too dark, but this one was the best out of them I think
