This track came from an album released in 1998, and the video was released in 1999. The video is live and animated. With the effects in the video, it won three awards. It was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2000, and it won Best Short Form Music Video; it was voted Reader’s Choice Award Music Video of the Year 1999; and Best Editing and Best Rock Video at the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards. It reached number six in the Alternative Songs chart, number ten on the Mainstream Rock Songs Chart, and number 24 in the UK Singles Chart. It did not touch the Billboard Hot 100. Spin rated it as sixth top single of 1999. It went Gold in Australia. In 2006, it was number 23 of the Top 40 Greatest Metal Songs; number 69 of VH1’s “100 Greatest Songs of the 90’s” and number 48 of VH1’s “100 Greatest Hard Rock Songs” in 2009. It has been in an episode of The Simpsons (Stop or my dog will shoot), Puma commercials, it is on Guitar Hero World Tour and is available as a download for Rock Band 3.
