I found a feature on my camera yesterday that will give me near perfect shots nearly every time. So while I was out today, I saw a bunch of ducks and a little further up there was a paddling of ducks. A couple of them were washing themselves, so I thought I would take a shot or three.

Nice Alistair, I still use M as I like to get in close with a macro lens, which drives the AF crazy 😀 Mind you if I am using the bridge camera instead I have no choice 🙂
I’ve not tried it with a macro yet. So will more than likely still use M for that. Although I did find that sometimes it focuses on what you don’t want to
Alastair! That was supposed to be a provate moment – lol 😉

Ahhh … he don’t care. It’s water off a duck’s back 😉
😀
I thought they all looked perfect before. 🙂
🙂 Thank you Meme
I love that you love having found this. So cute
Thanks 🙂
Awesome! – Looks like you had your finger on the trigger at the right moment. 🙂
I shall remember to look out for this funktion when I am getting myself a DSRL camera (which I am aiming at during the start of this year). It is very helpful on my Android phone.
It is 😀
Hmmm..what feature was that? Maybe it’s on mine, too…cute duck by the way…
It was actually the Auto focus. By switching it to A rather then M, pressing lightly on the shutter button will focus the picture on several points. I found that of the 100 or so photos I took, only about 4 or 5 were unusable.
Ok 🙂 so that’s what that function is for. I keep reading about it but never really figured it out. I’ll give it a try. Thanks!
I used it for the first time yesterday and giggled at watching the lens moving on it’s own
Ah, enlightenment! I thought the A meant that the lens would remain fixed and something inside the body would make the adjustments…silly me! 🙂 Now I really have to try it…
I did. Amazing what happens when you try things 😀
I tried it on mine, had to keep my hands off the lens. I’ll need to try it on the kids…
😀
Cute pic!
Thank you Rachel 🙂
