Penny – The Why About This – put on a post yesterday in a new series she is doing with elements and emotions. Penny decided to use a track – They Call The Wind Maria from Paint Your Wagon. So I just HAD to put on my favourite song from that film. Hearing Lee Marvin singing with his baritone voice was haunting. Hope you enjoy Wandering Star as much as I do.
Lee Marvin—GREAT! Paint Your Wagon—a favorite of all time! Haven’t thought of that movie in years!
Lee Marvin is probably one of the few people in the world who sings worse than Tom Waits.
I expect some flak about that 😉
Haha. He does sing badly, which makes him brilliant in this role 🙂
I was born under a wanderin’ star

I saw this movie when I was in college–far from home in Seattle where I grew up. If you know Seattle, then you know I grew up waterlogged. The rain scene made me break into sobs (The college I attended was in the desert, and I guess I missed the rain.) And now, this is making me cry. I’m going to have to look for that soundtrack. Thanks for the memories, my friend.
Thank you Teresa. I’m glad I could stir some memories for you
