This is another track by the Gods of music. This was released in 1977 and has recently become a musical about the band. This song placed 330 in top 500 songs of all time in 2004, and it was number 146 in the RIAA‘s Songs of the Century. In 2009 it was indicted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. The song is almost entirely cappella apart from the last 630 seconds which is a guitar solo. This is usually partnered with another song and from 1977 onwards, the two songs would play on the radio with no breaks between them. It is only a two minute song, and is the opening for a film which made the late great Heath Ledger – A Knight’s Tale.
A Knight’s Tale Opening
Saw the intro to Knight’s Tale. Fell in love with the anachronism this song represented and fell in love with the movie.
Definitely an awesome film. I got to watch it again. 🙂
Love anything by Queen!! Great song!

Dearest Alastair! *Hello* 🙂 I’m home for 2 days, so thought I would check out how my blog family is going! 🙂 love this song and Freddy! Australia is still a scorcher… need some of your cool weather! But none of that – degrees stuff…that’s waaay too cold! Love Paula xxx
It’s actually way too warm for this time of the year. We are supposed to be out in heavy coats and woolly hats and gloves, but it is mire likely the weather for light jackets
I came home from the U.K about the 7th January 2012. I was hoping for snow but it didn’t happen:( So funny though, as you say you only need a light jacket! But i would say, “I’m freezing my …off” Lol xxx
Haha I suppose you would.
Great choice!
Thanks Sharla
LOVE Queen! Great post!
😀
Wonderful, did you ever see the Musical in the West end. I saw it twice it was suuuuper!
Unfortunately not. Depending on what I use my savings for, I may do something like that in December. Or go to see Thor 2 in London as that is out around that time. Would be cool seeing it in the iMax. I’m hoping thought that I won’t have the money for it as I have an idea on what to use the money for 😀 However, it also means I have to start selling a lot of photos too
I always try to get half price tickets…. well I have saved for my first week already £27 …. and ticked it off…..
Wikkid 😀 I’ve put my £52 away so far. I can probably get in for half price and someone else in for free. I get in a discount as I am disabled, then anyone with me usually gets in free as my carer 😀
We are on a roll Alastair!
I’d prefer to be on a sandwich, it’s wider
Haha like that! 🙂 🙂
