I was tagged in a photo on Facebook the other day, and I said that I would attempt to make something from it. This is the first time I have looked at a picture and created a poem from the images.
PINK HEADPHONES
She sits in her room
Staring at her wall
She thinks only of him
And the tears start to fall
To her, he’s a prince
Even though he’s done bad
But when he was caught
Part of her was glad
It’s not that he killed
His only crime was he robbed
Everytime he did it though,
He came back to her and sobbed
He didn’t want to do it
But he was given no choice
If he strayed from his task
SHE would get a visit from the boys
Now it was all over
Nothing was left to risk
So she listened to him every night
Through pink headphones and a disk

Thank you
It is quite incredible what looking at a photo, object, or just a word stuck in your head can create when inspiration strikes. This awesome!! Fantastic!! 😀
Thank you Christina. It did take me a while, but when the inspiration came, I like it 🙂
It’s amazing what how the imagination works & thoughts begin to flow with images. Nicely done Alastair!
Thanks Rosy 🙂
