When I was a kid, we used to nick my parents’ records (vinyl) and we used to play them. Sometimes we would play a 33 on 45 or a 45 on 33. Occasionally we would nearly wet ourselves laughing when we used to play a 16 on 78. If you are under 40, then you probably have no idea what I am talking about. Take a look here. One of the records that we used to “steal” was Distant Drums by Jim Reeves. This was the song that my dad used to propose to my mum due to the line “Mary marry me” and the name my mum uses is Cornelia … just kidding, it’s Mary. On the “B” side of that was this …. be warned … even now I can’t listen to this without the tears flowing.

No worries. I had to have a dog put to sleep about six years ago, and a cat two months ago.
A dog or a cat is a part of a family – more so for the dog as a cat’s response to everything is “meh” 😀
