I DREAM

I dream a dream of people unknown
Of places new to me
Of roads and homes never seen

I dream a dream of people known
Ones I know but never met
Ones I’ve met only in dreams

I dream of dreams
Of places I would like to know
Of people I would like to meet

I dream a dream that may come true
If it’s true, then what of me?
Do I hope and smile for people never met?

I dream a dream that is no dream
I see the dream for what it was
Of what it is and what it could be

~~~oo~~~

I stand and watch the world revolve
Of life and love and hope restored
I smile away broken and happy for life renewed
