My favourite bird always has been the Eagle. In fact, up until a couple of years ago, I used to have a belt with a buckle that had an eagle on it, and in my Country & Western era of listening to music (Kenny Rogers was my favourite) I used to have a bootlace tie (thingy) that was an eagle.
I was also sure, as a kid, that my parents had an ABBA tribute cassette. They only had one tape deck, so I only got to listen to it when they went out. I was sure that there was a track on it called Eagle. The tape was lost, or damaged or something like that, and confusion over what tracks were on it caused me to believe that I was imagining it.
Thanks to Penny, she has proved that I wasn’t going mad (well, not then anyway) and that they HAD recorded that track.
I love Abba! 🙂
Until recently, I thought that ABBA was one of those groups that everyone liked, A bit like Queen 🙂
I have both of the ABBA Gold CD’s. Brilliant band. It was a pity that their marriages split and so resulted in the band going the same way.
Success often has a habit of creating changes in personalities that sadly turns people away from those they had been so close to before. A truth, unfortunately, but their music is gold, always Alastair. 🙂
That is so true.
I remember a duo years ago called Dollar. They were a couple and they had a falling out, which showed in their music and body language and that caused them to fail.
Isn’t it great when someone else helps you discover that you haven’t gone mad? LOL
Oh yes 😀
I can go wibble in my corner knowing I was right about the song LOL
