Beating of a heart
Hit a beat
Miss a beat
Hit a beat
Miss a beat
*****
By the shore, running free
Across the grass, laughing with glee
Sitting on a gate, taking a chance
Looking to the side, stealing a glance
*****
Hit a beat
Miss a beat
Hit a beat
Miss a beat
*****
Dancing along, arms open wide
Showing off, beaming with pride
Jumping and bounding, being loud
Glancing back, feeling proud
*****
Hit a beat
Miss a beat
Hit a beat
Miss a beat
*****
Prancing through woods, having fun
Going across fields, going at a run
To the diner, having a shake
Looking at each other, none of it fake
*****
Hit a beat
Miss a beat
Hit a beat
Miss a beat
*****
Teenagers on a date ….

Love this…..it speaks to my heart….nothing like new love to make your heart skip a beat.
That’s true π
Love this poem. The cadence and rhythm of it is just fantastic! π
Thanks Rachel π
This is lovely
Thanks Celestine π
I find that it is a very good thing and I like the new look of your blog π
Thank you π
Very nice!
π Thank you
smiling at this one
Thank you -A- π
ahh the hat no longer hides a face…
It was something I was very scared to do. To show my face. This photo is about six years old, and I have shorter hair now.
I was helped into putting this on, and I am eternally grateful to the person who helped.
well it put a smile on my face..
and now you should put a current one up .. or is that pushing my luck haa haa
says the gal that has no pictures
It took a lot of guts to do this one. I wanted to put one up that was 14 years old, but was convinced otherwise by my friend.
I haven’t had a photo of me on for 18 months. When something causes you happiness though, you are willing to try new things. And my friend has opened up a side of me that was so buried that I had forgotten it existed.
your friend sounds amazing.. good for you !!
My friend is more than amazing. Thank you
Alastair – I think it’s great how you updated your blog & are highlighting your photos & now poetry too!!!
Thanks Rosy. A few weeks ago, I would never have even thought of the use of the word poetry. It’s new to me lol
WHOA DUDE – Check you out without that big eye!
Great look! Nice Gravatar!
π Thank you.
It’s a few years old, the facial hair is different and the hair is considerably shorter. That picture has been photoshopped – I took my ex wife out. I don’t mean with a sniper rifle … although … there’s a thought lol
I missed my ex-wife, but then I reloaded and took another shot π
I don’t begrudge what she did, I was always told to give my used toys to the less fortunate π
LOL!
π
BTW – I updated your blog title on my blog-roll (Peeps I follow) to Alastair’s Blog π
Thanks Rosy π
Hahahah!! I see what you did there! ;D
Hehe π
