September brings the near end to Summer
October cools down, meaning it is fully Over
November sees shorter days and longer Nights
December brings in weather that’s Dull
January starts a grand new Journey
February can bring love from Friends
March and now spring starts to Meddle
April always begins with fooling All
May will have weather leave its Mark
June and we look at summer with Jest
July with people on holidays and Jaunts
August brings us back close to Autumn
The year can seem so very short
The year can seem extremely long
The year can be whatever we make it
The year can make us wary, or strong

Fantastic!!! And so very very clever. I loved this journey through the year and with a twist of using the letters twice. Then, even further, to add such a power at the end! You just keep excelling sweet friend and I am more than thrilled to watch/read!!! Hugs ~
Thank you for your lovely comment Christina 🙂
Really nice.
Thank you 🙂
wonderful… Thanks and Love, nia
Thank you Nia 🙂
Loved how you summarized the year!
Thanks Rosy 🙂
Wonderful Mondrak, wonderful, on several levels my friend. Just great! The very clever playing with “like” letters, A beautiful melodic journey through the months, seasons of the year, concluding with strong sentiment of personal feelings regarding a year’s experiences, Fantastic, ok did I mention that I like it! As in whole bunches! Yes, my friend, yes, 🙂 Penny
Thank you Penny 🙂
The one I was having problems with was August. I couldn’t think of what to say for it – until it suddenly popped into my head when I was replying to you on your post 🙂
Yes, and it was the muse (tee hee) inspiring your imagination. Just teasing. I just love when that happens inside our heads (sort of an ‘aha!’ moment)! 🙂
Exactly. Almost like a dam bursting to let the water out 🙂
I agree “a dam bursting” perfect analogy! 🙂
Mind you, my daughter has a talent. She wrote a poem last year, and I didn’t know until I received a letter from a publisher asking for permission to put it into a book. I was so proud of her. So naturally I said yes, and brought two copies of it – one for me and one for her 😀
That is excellent Mondrak, keep encouraging her, she clearly has talent based on the one poem of hers, I read that you posted, and just in case you haven’t figured it out yet, or perhaps read what I wrote in a comment to someone, For several years while owning a marketing firm, I had to assess the talents of the free-lance photographers, artists and writers that my business would use to complete assignments for my clients. So I do have some skill in recognizing talent. Just lots of it in your family. 🙂
I’m going to ask her if I can post the other poem that she had written. I don’t normally pay more than £6-£7 ($9-$11) for a paperback, but these were £15 ($23) I wasn’t missing out on that though.
My daughter in a book 😀
Totally, I would do the same thing, always. Yes she is how cool is that! 🙂
What a strong and powerful poem. So glad you have taken up writing poems. You have such a natural knack for prose and I always enjoy reading them!!
Thank you Rachel. I’m never sure of them when I post them.
Thank you 🙂
