A Photo A Day … July 18 2012

Rather disappointed with the photos I took today. The Olympic Torch came through my town, and I went out with my son and daughter to see it. It started raining – typically – and people kept bobbing backwards and forwards. As a result, between the lens steaming up and getting dotty, and my glasses going the same way so I couldn’t see, most of the photos were blurry. Today’s photo of the day is the least blurry one that I had, but I am not at all happy with it.

  1. seems so exciting… I wished to be there too. Thank you for this unforgettable moment… Good Luck for this great event to all countries… Love, nia

    • Thanks Nia.

There’s just been a huge fireworks display that has lasted for over an hour. I’ve had a look through and I have some decent shots – those that I managed to take through the scaffolding and the fog and the rain. Will be putting them on tomorrow.

  2. Hi Mondrak, Call your pic of the day :: BLURRY – the Olympic Torch :: And not everybody can witness the Olympic torch in real life 😉 It’s the story behind photo’s that make them interesting also. So I say Great Shot!

  3. Dear Mondrak,

When the torch came up North the whole entourage came down the main road not far from my house but the torch was on the bus so I didn’t bother straining my neck at the window when there was no flame to see. 🙂

    Love Dotty xxx

    • When it leaves here tonight, it will just be driving to the next town which is about 15 miles away so as a result, so many people are just going to see the bus.
