Seven years on

Today is July 7th 2012. Seven years ago today, London was plunged into chaos and terror as bombs were detonated at four locations and made people across Great Britain realise that nowhere is safe from terrorists.

The first bomb was on the 204 Circle line train between Liverpool Street and Aldegate. This was eight minutes out of King’s Cross.

The second bomb was the 216 Circle line just after Edgware Road. Several other trains were also damaged in the blast.

The third and final underground bomb was on the 311 Piccadilly Line just after it left King’s Cross.

The final bomb was on a bus in Tavistock Square. It is thought that the bomber had been delayed from boarding his tube so detonated to coincide with the other three devices.

52 people were killed in the blasts – not including the terrorists, and over 700 people were injured.

My thoughts today are with the family and friends of the 52 who were killed, and also with the survivors and their families and friends for their ongoing suffering caused by these terrorists….
